The Thomas Nelson Generals will head out on the road to face off against the Beth Haven Bearcats at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Thomas Nelson is hoping to put an end to an 11-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Last Tuesday, Thomas Nelson lost to Nelson County on the road by a decisive 54-37 margin.
Meanwhile, Beth Haven scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 92-67 margin over Lewis County. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Beth Haven's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Michael Ray Stinnett, who went 7 for 12 from beyond the arc en route to 25 points and 5 assists. Those 25 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Harris, who scored 19 points along with nine rebounds and seven assists.
Thomas Nelson's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Beth Haven, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.
