The Arrowhead Christian Academy Eagles had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12 points), and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They claimed a resounding 59-14 victory over Sonoran Science Academy at home. Arrowhead Christian Academy's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Arrowhead Christian Academy found their leader in underclassman Isabella Hernandez, who scored 17 points along with nine steals and two blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hernandez has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Leah Rubio, who scored six points along with two steals.
Arrowhead Christian Academy pushed their record up to 8-1 with that win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Sonoran Science Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Arrowhead Christian Academy the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Tri-City Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 19th. Sonoran Science Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Jones-Gordon at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
