Nettleton is on a four-game streak of home wins, while East Union is on a 14-game streak of away wins (dating back to last season): one of those streaks is about to end. The Nettleton Tigers will host the East Union Urchins at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Nettleton 1.7, East Union 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
While Nettleton's victory against Tupelo wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Nettleton had just enough and edged out Tupelo 6-5 on Friday. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Golden Wave recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.
Bailey Payne spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five runs (all of which were unearned) on four hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.
