Griffith is 0-3 against Kouts since May of 2021 but things could change on Saturday. The Panthers will be playing at home against the Mustangs & Fillies at 1:30 p.m. Griffith is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.
On Friday, Griffith sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-6 win over Calumet Christian. That's two games straight that the Panthers have won by just one run.

Parker Hecht tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over six innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Griffith is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 9-11 otherwise.
On the hitting side, Anthony Feliciano was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and one stolen base. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. Steve McDermott was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, after a string of nine wins, Kouts' good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They lost 7-0 to Boone Grove. The Mustangs & Fillies were red-hot at the plate heading into the contest (they scored no less than ten runs in the seven matchups prior), but the Wolves' pitchers proved too tough.
Kouts also got a good showing from Vance Glassburn, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That's the fewest hits Glassburn has allowed since back in April.
Griffith now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Kouts, their loss dropped their record down to 20-4.
Saturday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Griffith has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .448. However, it's not like Kouts struggles in that department as they've averaged .488. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Griffith couldn't quite get it done against Kouts when the teams last played back in May of 2024 as they fell 6-1. Will the Panthers have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other baseball content.
