Softball Recap: Calistoga Has No Trouble Against Potter Valley

It was a proper cat-fight when Calistoga duked it out with Potter Valley on Friday. The Wildcats were the clear victors by a 16-8 margin over the Bearcats. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won eight contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

Calistoga has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.1 runs over those games. As for Potter Valley, they are on a 19-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-12.

Calistoga wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, an 8-7 victory against Willits on the 12th. As for Potter Valley, they will face off against Credo at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
