Eagle won against Kuna on Monday with eight runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Mustangs beat the Owyhee Storm by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 8-2. Peyton Bargen made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Bargen was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Erin Thoreson was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Emry Woods was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI.
Eagle was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .375. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Owyhee only posted a batting average of .160.
Eagle has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.9 runs over those games. Having lost for the first time this season, Owyhee fell to 23-1.
Eagle does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Owyhee, they will take on Rocky Mountain in a tournament on Wednesday. The Storm's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Grizzlies have averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season.
