The Northview Chiefs lost against the Lighthouse Private Christian Academy Stingrays back in December of 2018, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The New Year welcomed Northview with a 91-32 whooping from Lighthouse Private Christian Academy. Northview was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-22.
When it comes to explaining why Northview lost, one person who can't be blamed is Luke Diamond. Despite the final result, he scored 17 points. Diamond scored a full 53.1% of Northview's points, the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. JIKEIR HUDSON was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Northview has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season. As for Lighthouse Private Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season.
Northview will be playing at home against W.S. Neal at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lighthouse Private Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against FAMU DRS at 3:00 p.m. on January 6th. FAMU DRS is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home.
