On Friday, Antioch is packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against California at California Hs at 4:30 PM. California will be strutting in after a win while Antioch will be stumbling in from a loss.
Last Friday, Antioch couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They ended up on the wrong side of a painful 0-32 walloping at Lincoln hands.
Meanwhile, California took care of business in their home opener. They steamrollered El Cerrito 62-7. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 41-0.
Antioch's defeat took them down to 0-1 while California's victory pulled them up to write [team] current record. A win for Antioch would reverse both their bad luck and California's good luck. We'll see if Antioch manages to pull off that tough task or if California keeps their momentum going instead.
