Prairie View Academy lost to Cenla Christian Academy 52-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Glenbrook made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 11,365 from 11,419. The improvement was the result of 26-0 victory over Riverdale Academy last week.
The Apaches' dynamic duo of Regan Edwards and Jacob White proved to be unstoppable against the Rebels, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Edwards threw for 329 yards and 2 touchdowns and White had 110 yards receiving. Logan Clark helped Glenbrook's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 94 yards.
Glenbrook's dynamic duo of Edwards and White proved tough for Riverdale Academy to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
White was the best receiver in MAIS AA District 3 this week as Greg Tibbitt's team defeated the Rebels.
Drake Porter was the best running back in the league this week. He ran for 83 yards on 23 carries as River Oaks topped Riverdale Academy. Teammate Garrett Morgan added to the ground attack by rushing for 51 yards.
Edwards put up the best numbers in passing as Glenbrook bested the Rebels.
He was 18-32 with 2 interceptions.
The Apaches' Edwards and Clark have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Edwards has thrown for 609 yards this season, while Clark, a 5-foot-7 receiver, has 7 catches for 194 yards. The Mustangs' Porter leads the league in rushing yards with 170.
Fans will be treated to a premier battle in the secondary when Glenbrook's Clark goes up against River Oaks' Taylor Tindall.
Next week's game between the Apaches and Robert Hannah's team will feature an aerial matchup as Edwards tests his arm against Tindall's defensive ability.
As it stands, the Mustangs are in second, while Glenbrook is in third.
There should be lots of points scored when River Oaks and the Apaches face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Mustangs comes in having scored 52 this season, while Glenbrook has scored 38. River Oaks scored 18 points last week as it lost to Adams County Christian.
The Mustangs lost in the closest game of the week to 20-18 the Rebels. Porter in the loss.
