If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Corinth. On Friday they take on Byhalia at 7:00 PM. After both teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one of them is set up to suffer a discouraging change of fortune.
Everything came up roses for Corinth against Kossuth last Friday as the team secured a 49-13 victory. Junior Tameron Patterson, who rushed for 195 yards and 4 touchdowns, was a major factor in Corinth's success.
Meanwhile, Byhalia were fully in charge, breezing past Coldwater 37-0. The success made it back-to-back wins for Byhalia.
Their wins bumped Byhalia to 4-2 and Corinth to 5-1. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, Corinth and Byhalia will really light up the scoreboard.
