Basketball Recap: Waupun Snags Sixth Victory in Last Eight Games

Waupun won the last time they faced Columbus and things went their way on Monday too. The Waupun Warriors came out on top against the Columbus Cardinals by a score of 54-47. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.

Waupun has also been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-8 record this season. As for Columbus, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Waupun will square off against Kettle Moraine Lutheran at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Kettle Moraine Lutheran will roll in looking for their 14th straight victory, something Waupun surely won't give up without a fight. As for Columbus, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lodi at 7:30 p.m. on January 30th.
