Plato is 3-0 against Maranatha Baptist Academy since January of 2021, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Plato Eagles will be playing at home against the Maranatha Baptist Academy Warriors at 6:00 p.m. Plato comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
Back in December of 2023, Plato came up short against Summersville and fell 49-42.
Maranatha Baptist Academy posted their biggest victory yet this season on Tuesday. They really took it to Mountain Grove Christian Academy for the full four quarters, racking up a 72-40 victory on the road. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Maranatha Baptist Academy had established a 28 point advantage.
Maranatha Baptist Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Clarence Brown out in front who scored 21 points. Brown hasn't dropped below 15points for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Sebastian Rush, who scored 18 points.
Plato's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Maranatha Baptist Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 7-8.
Plato was able to grind out a solid victory over Maranatha Baptist Academy when the teams last played back in January of 2023, winning 59-47. Does Plato have another victory up their sleeve, or will Maranatha Baptist Academy turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
