A big part of Great Bend's win came down to the chemistry between Daxton Minton and his top target Ian Premer. Minton threw for 237 yards and five touchdowns while Premer picked up 167 receiving yards and five touchdowns. Premer's longest reception was for an incredible 86 yards. Jacob Hall got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Great Bend's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged two passes before it was all said and done. The picks came courtesy of Hall and Premer. Aidan Davidson was another major factor on D, picking up a sack, forcing a fumble, and forcing a fumble.
Meanwhile, North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by West 64-0.
Great Bend's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0. As for North, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.
