Volleyball Recap: Southeast Career Tech Has No Trouble Against Rancho

There's no place like home for Southeast Career Tech, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They blew past the Rancho Rams 3-0 on Thursday. That looming 3-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Roadrunners yet this season.

Southeast Career Tech not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Rancho between 18 and 21 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-19, 25-21.

Southeast Career Tech can attribute much of their success to Eliza Melgar, who had six digs and four aces. Those six digs gave Melgar a new career-high.

Melgar wasn't the only good server: Southeast Career Tech was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Southeast Career Tech has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. As for Rancho, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Southeast Career Tech is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will face off against Del Sol at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Rancho, they will challenge Enterprise at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
