Volleyball Recap: Southeast Career Tech Wins Going Away Against Rancho

Southeast Career Tech not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since October 28, 2024 (when they won 3-0). They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Rancho Rams. The Roadrunners haven't had any issues with the Rams recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

While Southeast Career Tech might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Rancho scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-19, 25-21.

Among those leading the charge was Eliza Melgar, who had six digs and four aces. Those six digs gave her a new career-high.

Melgar wasn't the only good server: Southeast Career Tech was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 15 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Southeast Career Tech's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Rancho, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Southeast Career Tech didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Del Sol on the 25th. As for Rancho, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Enterprise on the 22nd.
