The Adamson Leopards will head out on the road to face off against the Hillcrest Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Adamson is hoping to put an end to an 11-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Last Friday, Adamson came up short against Sunset and fell 62-54. Adamson has not had much luck with Sunset recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Meanwhile, Hillcrest also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to White by a score of 62-54. While losing is never fun, Hillcrest can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 597th, while White is ranked 124th).
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Braden Vance, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Those five rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Jed-ethan Nansha, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.
Adamson has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-10 record this season. As for Hillcrest, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-8.
Adamson took a serious blow against Hillcrest when the teams last played back in February, falling 99-55. The game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Adamson was down 58-21.
