The Decatur Eagles will challenge the Western Hills Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
Decatur is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Diamond Hill-Jarvis 83-7. The victory was familiar territory for Decatur, who have now won four matchups in a row.

Decatur's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jake Milligan led the charge by rushing for 89 yards and three scores on only nine carries. Those three rushing touchdowns gave Milligan a new career-high. Another back making a difference was Jamari Fletcher, who rushed for 75 yards and a pair of TDs.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Decatur was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 313 rushing yards. They are a perfect 3-0 when they've run for more than 200 yards.
Another reason for the win was Decatur's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for five sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as five different players picked up one apiece. Another thorn in Diamond Hill-Jarvis' side was Keaton Goode, who picked up a sack and made six total tackles (3.0 for loss) in addition to snagging an interception.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Western Hills, who bounced back after a loss on the road back in September. They blew past Diamond Hill-Jarvis 76-6 last Friday.
Western Hills found their leader in sophomore Tyler Johnston, who threw for 194 yards and three touchdowns while completing 76.9% of his passes, and also rushed for 33 yards. Rodney Hill also helped with two scores in total.
Western Hills didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off seven passes before the game was over. Ashton Richardson led the group effort, picking up three of those interceptions all by himself. Western Hills received some extra help from Gabriel Christion, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.
Western Hills' win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Decatur, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.
Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Decatur has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 214.8 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Western Hills struggles in that department as they've been averaging 222.6 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Everything came up roses for Decatur against Western Hills in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 66-7 win. In that matchup, the Eagles amassed a halftime lead of 52-7, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
