Bladensburg has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Flowers Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Bladensburg suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Thursday. They were dealt a 70-40 defeat at the hands of Wise. While losing is never fun, Bladensburg can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 170th, while Wise is ranked 46th).
Meanwhile, Flowers pushed their score all the way to 57 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Bowie by a score of 59-57. Flowers' loss continues an unfortunate trend for the squad, making it three in a row.
Bladensburg has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Flowers, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.
Bladensburg suffered a grim 75-55 defeat to Flowers when the teams last played back in January of 2023. Can Bladensburg avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
