They managed a 39-34 win over Willows Academy. The win was all the more spectacular given Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 482nd, while the Eagles are ranked 223rd).
Leading Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family to victory were Elizabeth Beto and Alice Hansen. Beto dropped a double-double on 13 points and 14 rebounds, while Hansen almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds. Beto hasn't dropped below nine rebounds for eight straight games. Maya Krutul was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six rebounds and five assists.
Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family pushed their record up to 12-10 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.0 points per game. As for Willows Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 24-5.
