Meanwhile, St. John's Catholic Prep came up short against Maryvale Prep on Wednesday and fell 47-36. That's two games in a row now that St. John's Catholic Prep has lost by exactly 11 points.
St. John's Catholic Prep's loss came about despite a quality game from Nadia Ferguson, who scored 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cayenne Pigeon, who scored eight points.
Garrison Forest dropped their record down to 0-2 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 25.4 points per game. As for St. John's Catholic Prep, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-7 record this season.
Garrison Forest was able to grind out a solid win over St. John's Catholic Prep in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, winning 35-26. Will Garrison Forest repeat their success, or does St. John's Catholic Prep have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
