The Dorman Cavaliers were the 60-53 winner over the James F. Byrnes Rebels when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Dorman took a 47-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of James F. Byrnes.
Despite the defeat, Dorman saw an underclassman step up: Sidney Davis scored eight points along with four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Nevaeh West, who scored 12 points.
Dorman's loss dropped their record down to 12-7. As for James F. Byrnes, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-6.
Dorman will head out on the road to take on Gaffney at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for James F. Byrnes, they will be playing at home against Boiling Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Boiling Springs is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
