Highlands Christian gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Sports Leadership & Management Cobras with a sharp 20-1 win. The Knights have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cobras, too.
Jacob Tullier was a major factor no matter where he played. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Tullier was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring four runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
In other batting news, Highlands Christian got a massive performance out of Steven Perals, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four runs, four RBI, and one double. Josiah Tullier was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs.
This is the second loss in a row for Sports Leadership & Management and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Looking ahead, Highlands Christian will look to defend their home field on February 18th against Saint Andrew's at 6:30 p.m. As for Sports Leadership & Management, they are taking a road trip to challenge Dwyer at 7:00 p.m. on February 19th.
