Quakertown has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge The Harry S. Truman Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Harry S. Truman took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Quakertown, who comes in off a win.
Last Friday, Quakertown blew past Council Rock North, posting a 50-7 victory at home. With Quakertown ahead 42-0 at the half, the match was all but over already.
Quakertown can attribute much of their success to Ed Bittner, who rushed for 57 yards and three touchdowns. Reagan Payne got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Harry S. Truman's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 47-19 loss at the hands of Upper Dublin. While losing is never fun, Harry S. Truman can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 362nd, while Upper Dublin is ranked 133rd).
Quakertown's win on Friday bumped their record up to 4-4. Harry S. Truman has been struggling this season, as they've lost seven of their first eight matches, which leaves them at a 1-7 record this season.
Quakertown strolled past Harry S. Truman in their previous meeting back in October of 2022 by a score of 35-18. The rematch might be a little tougher for Quakertown since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
