The Eastern Hancock Royals stacked a 13th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Saturday. They blew past Waldron 71-30 at home. The win was nothing new for Eastern Hancock as they're now sitting on four straight.
Eastern Hancock found their leader in underclassman McKenzie Koch, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. Koch has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydney Springman, who scored eight points along with four steals.
Eastern Hancock pushed their record up to 18-1 with that victory, which was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 31.47 points. As for Waldron, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-12.
Eastern Hancock will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Daleville at 7:30 p.m. Daleville will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 330th, while Eastern Hancock is ranked 36th). Waldron will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against New Palestine at 7:30 p.m. on January 18th. That game will pit two of the most dominant players against one another: Allie Blum and Grace Fischer.
