The Galva Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their eighth straight loss. They suffered a tough 48-27 defeat at the hands of Abingdon/Avon. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Galva has scored all season.
Galva's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of JP Sloan, who scored nine points, and Blake Stahl who scored nine points along with five rebounds.
Galva has not been sharp recently as the team's lost ten of their last 11 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-16 record this season. As for Abingdon/Avon, their victory bumped their record up to 11-12.
Galva will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the Blue Bullets at 7:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Knoxville has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since January 3. As for Abingdon/Avon, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Braves at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th. Annawan will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
