Fort Calhoun extended the longest winning streak in C1 District 1 this week by beating Concordia, 28-8. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Pioneers.
Boys Town and Bishop Neumann played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Boys Town eventually emerging with a 26-21 victory.
Fort Calhoun's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Jordan Kann threw for 44 and one touchdown and Jaden Boudle had 41 yards receiving. On the ground James Rathjen chipped in 268 yards. Tyler Pace helped Fort Calhoun's passing attack out by catching one ball for 11 yards.
Taylor Hill made the biggest impact on defense this week as Douglas County West lost to Arlington. The player pulled down three interceptions.
Fort Calhoun's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Pioneers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Kann has thrown for 986 yards and 11 touchdowns this season, while Boudle has 30 catches for 547 yards. Kann also leads the league in rushing with 1004 yards.
Michael Huffman's team's Rathjen needs only 24 yards against Wayne next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 145 carries Rathjen has accumulated 976 yard this year.
The Eagles led C1 District 1 in scoring this week after putting up 43 points on the Falcon.
