Last Thursday, the stars were shining brightly for New London in a 67-53 win over Shawano Community. 67 seems to be a good number for New London as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Meanwhile, Clintonville beat Oconto Falls 61-54 on Friday. Given Clintonville's advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 86th, while Oconto Falls is ranked 386th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
New London pushed their record up to 6-2 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Clintonville, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 6-2.
New London was able to grind out a solid win over Clintonville when the teams last played back in December of 2022, winning 66-58. Will New London repeat their success, or does Clintonville have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
