Baseball Recap: Mcbain Beats Manton for Their Fourth Straight Win

McBain strolled into their game on Tuesday with an undefeated record and they left with the same. They walked away with a 7-2 victory over the Manton Rangers. The Ramblers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Rangers, too.

Clayton Heuker was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Kasen Pollington, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

McBain's win bumped their record up to 4-0-1. As for Manton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.

Looking ahead, McBain will take on St. Francis at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Ramblers 1.2, the Gladiators 2.9) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Manton, they will be playing at home against Forest Area at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Warriors have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.75 runs per game on average), something the Rangers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
