Those 12 points gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Nehemiah Thomas, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 14 boards.

Even though they lost, Ridge Spring-Monetta smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in three consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Hunter-Kinard-Tyler can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 66-38 win over Williston-Elko. That 28 point margin sets a new team best for the Trojans this season.

Hunter-Kinard-Tyler's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-6. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.5 points per game. As for Ridge Spring-Monetta, their loss dropped their record down to 2-11.

Ridge Spring-Monetta came up short against Hunter-Kinard-Tyler in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 58-47. Can Ridge Spring-Monetta avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
