Softball Recap: Eagan Wins Going Away Against Two Rivers

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Prior Lake, Eagan was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They blew past the Two Rivers Warriors 14-3. With that win, the Wildcats brought their scoring average up to 6.5 runs per game.

Greta Bergh and Jocelyn McClary did most of the damage at the plate: Bergh went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI, while McClary scored three runs while going 2-for-4. That home run marked the first that Bergh launched this season. Another player making a difference was Taylor Bertrand, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI.

Eagan hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters every time they've taken the field this season.

The victory got Eagan back to even at 2-2. As for Two Rivers, their defeat was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eagan will face off against Rosemount at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Two Rivers, they will square off against Simley at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
