Port Barre have to be aching after a bruising 0-30 loss to Eunice on Friday. The blowout was painful but not necessarily a suprise as Eunice enjoys a considerable advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.
The defeat dropped Port Barre's record to 2-4. The victory bumped Eunice's record up to 5-1.
Next week Port Barre take on Northwest at 7:00 PM. Port Barre's defense better steel itself: Northwest are averaging 31.5 points per game. As for Eunice, they will face off against Pine Prairie. After both of those teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one of them is set up to suffer a discouraging change of fortune.
