Arbor View and Liberty are an even 3-3 against one another since January of 2015, but not for long. The Arbor View Aggies the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Liberty Patriots at 6:15 p.m. on January 20th. One thing working in Arbor View's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last seven contests.
Arbor View posted their biggest win since November 30, 2023 on Thursday. They really took it to Spring Valley for the full four quarters, racking up a 72-45 win at home. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 44-13.
Pharaoh Compton continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 23 points along with two blocks. He is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last nine games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jalen Dickel, who scored seven points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Liberty came tearing into Friday's match with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.1 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against Silverado by a score of 84-73. Liberty's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Arbor View is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. As for Liberty, they pushed their record up to 13-1 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
Arbor View strolled past Liberty when the teams last played back in December of 2023 by a score of 67-53. Will Arbor View repeat their success, or does Liberty have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
