The Colonel Richardson Colonels fell victim to the North Caroline Bulldogs''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They had to suffer through a rough 35-0 loss at the hands of the Bulldogs. It was the first time this season that Colonel Richardson let down their fans at home.
Zymear Smith was his usual excellent self, picking up 123 receiving yards and a touchdown, while also punching in a touchdown on the ground. Another player making a difference was Nasai Bell, who threw for 171 yards and a touchdown while completing 100% of his passes.
Colonel Richardson now has a losing record at 4-5. As for North Caroline, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-1.
Colonel Richardson will head out on the road to face off against Bohemia Manor at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Maryland (Bohemia Manor is ranked 174th, while Colonel Richardson is ranked 168th). As for North Caroline, they will be playing at home against Wicomico at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Wicomico is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
