The State College Little Lions will be playing at home against the Central Dauphin Rams at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Tuesday, State College came up short against the Trojans and fell 59-49.
Despite their defeat, State College saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Aidan Angus, who scored eight points along with six assists and five rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. Luke Torbic was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with two blocks.
Meanwhile, Central Dauphin unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 73-67 hit to the loss column at the hands of Carlisle. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Like Central Dauphin, they lost despite seeing results from several players. Wayne Fletcher II led the charge by scoring 16 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Fletcher II is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jelani Easter, who scored 14 points along with six assists and five rebounds.
State College's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Central Dauphin, their loss dropped their record down to 15-6.
State College came up short against the Rams in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, falling 49-44. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Fletcher II, who scored 28 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Now that State College knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
