Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Highland Springs). Couldn't have asked for a better way to wrap up 2024 than the 93-66 stomp they got against the Stafford Indians. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Springers with their most commanding win of the season.

Jackson Wallace and Mason Bracey certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Wallace went 7 for 10 on his way to 18 points and six assists, while Bracey went 10 of 16 on his way to 25 points. The match was Bracey's third in a row with at least ten points. Zion Bacchus was another key player, going 5 of 10 on his way to 10 points and three steals.

The win got Highland Springs back to even at 4-4. As for Stafford, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.

After both having extra time off, Highland Springs and Hopewell will shake off the cobwebs and square off against one another at 8:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025. Hopewell will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Highland Springs surely won't give up without a fight. As for Stafford, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on North Stafford at 6:30 p.m. on January 8, 2025.
