Tri-Village has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Twin Valley South Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Tri-Village has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
In what's become a running theme this season, Tri-Village gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 85-39 victory over National Trail. Tri-Village pushed the score to 68-34 by the end of the third, a deficit National Trail had no chance of recovering from.
Meanwhile, Twin Valley South's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. Their rough 59-39 defeat to Eaton might stick with them for a while. The match was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly Twin Valley South struggled afterwards.
Despite their loss, Twin Valley South saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Jace Thuma, who scored ten points, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Trent Ray, who scored nine points.
Twin Valley South struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only two offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Tri-Village's victory was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-1. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 35.5 points. As for Twin Valley South, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost nine of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Tri-Village against Twin Valley South in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 as the squad secured a 90-42 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Tri-Village since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
