The Raft River Trojans will head out on the road to take on the Carey Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Raft River is hoping to put an end to an eight-game streak of away losses.
Raft River suffered their biggest defeat since December 13, 2023 on Saturday. They had to suffer through a rough 64-37 loss at the hands of Oakley. Raft River was down 54-28 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Meanwhile, Carey came up short against Valley on Tuesday and fell 60-48.
Despite the defeat, Carey got a solid performance out of Preston Wood, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. Wood hasn't dropped below 15points for six straight games. Another player making a difference was Stockton Sears, who scored 11 points.
Raft River's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Carey, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season.
Raft River couldn't quite finish off Carey in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 and fell 70-67. Thankfully for Raft River, Carsn Perkes (who scored 20 points along with seven assists and two steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
