This season hasn't been kind to the DuPont Tigers, who are still winless after their tenth contest. They had to suffer through a rough 42-0 loss at the hands of Wilmington Charter. The last quarter was a mere formality, since the game's final score was reached by the end of the third quarter.
Wilmington Charter can attribute much of their success to John Foley, who rushed for 148 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries. Foley really tore up the turf during one magnificent 72-yard run. Another player making a difference was Roman Paoli, who threw for 71 yards and three touchdowns on only six passes.
DuPont has yet to win a matchup at home this season, leaving them with a 0-10 record. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 1.2 points per game. As for Wilmington Charter, their victory bumped their record up to 8-3.
DuPont does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Wilmington Charter will look to defend their home field on Saturday against St. Elizabeth at 11:00 a.m. St. Elizabeth is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
