Willamette found their leader in sophomore Zeke Thomas, who threw for 280 yards and five touchdowns, and also rushed for 33 yards. Knox Smith was Thomas' top target, picking up 76 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.
Sprague's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Willamette, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
