Ludlow is 2-8 against Lloyd Memorial since April of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Panthers will look to defend their home field against the Juggernauts at 5:30 p.m. Ludlow is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.1 runs per game this season.
Ludlow will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Thursday, then bounced right back against Calvary Christian on Saturday. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 14-5 margin over the Cougars. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Evie Orsua was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Ludlow got a massive performance out of Shelby Ralston, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Charlotte Burke was another key player, going 2-for-5 with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.
Ludlow hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Calvary Christian struck out seven times.
Meanwhile, Lloyd Memorial didn't have quite enough to beat Villa Madonna on Monday and fell 6-5.
Cecilia Kuhn-Stevenson was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double. Another player making a difference was Allison Floyd, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Lloyd Memorial's defeat dropped their record down to 4-21. As for Ludlow, their victory bumped their record up to 9-15.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Ludlow has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Lloyd Memorial struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.5 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Everything went Ludlow's way against Lloyd Memorial in their previous matchup back in April, as Ludlow made off with a 17-2 win. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Juggernauts turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
