Lamar took their contest against Timmonsville on Friday by a conclusive 42-8 score. Followers of Lamar probably expected little less of the team in a season in which they have collected six blowout victories.
Lamar's offense rushed out of the gates and came up with 28 first-half points. Timmonsville countered with 8 points, leaving the score at 28-8 going into the half. Lamar put the game away in the third quarter with 14 points from the offense and zero points allowed from the defense.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Lamar will be playing at home against Great Falls at at 7:30 PM next week. Great Falls took a loss in their last matchup and are no doubt out to reverse Lamar's good fortune. As for Timmonsville, they will face off against McBee. McBee enter the match touting a three-game streak of increasing point totals.
