The Elizabeth Forward Warriors can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They managed a 74-69 win over Albert Gallatin. The victory was just what Elizabeth Forward needed coming off of a 89-61 loss in their prior game.
Albert Gallatin lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Blake White, who scored 23 points. White hasn't dropped below 15 points for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Shymere Wilson, who scored 17 points.
Elizabeth Forward's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-6. As for Albert Gallatin, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-7.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Elizabeth Forward is on the road again on Friday and plays the Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th. Laurel Highlands is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home. As for Albert Gallatin, they will head out on the road to square off against the Red Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Uniontown presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Colonials in Pennsylvania (the Red Raiders are ranked 21st, while the Colonials are ranked 364th).
