ANTON, Texas - the Bulldogs scored 22 points in the first quarter to secure a big 22-0 victory over
Wellman-Union (Wellman, Texas) on Saturday.
Anton scored on a rushing touchdown, a touchdown run by
Canan Wood and a
Jon Paul Lorenz touchdown pass to
Rigo Barrera in the quarter.
The lead that AHS took on a touchdown run with 7:00 left in the first quarter stood up for the duration of the game, as neither team managed to score in the second half.
With the win the Bulldogs extended their winning streak to five games. Anton defeated Whitharral 56-6 last week.
Anton (5-0) goes up against Kingdom Prep Academy in a non-conference game matchup next week, while Wellman-Union (0-5) locks horns with Wilson also in a non-conference game.
