The Madison Marlins can now show off ten landslide victories after their most recent contest on Tuesday. They blew past Galena Park 78-47 on the road. The win was familiar territory for Madison who now have seven in a row.
Madison was led to victory by Joe Whylie and Anthony Avalos. Whylie dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds, while Avalos dropped a double-double on 26 points and 13 rebounds. Devean Newton was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with two steals.
Madison's victory was their 11th straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-7. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 30.64 points. As for Galena Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-14.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Madison will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Sharpstown at 8:30 p.m. on January 19th. Sharpstown has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 21. As for Galena Park, they will head out on the road to square off against Sterling at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Sterling has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,293 points over their last 18 contests.
