The Kettle Run Cougars couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 36-17 bruising from Meridian on Tuesday.
Kettle Run's loss came despite strong showings from Ava Prysock and Erin Porter. Prysock scored 8 points along with 8 rebounds, while Porter scored 7 points along with 6 rebounds.
Kettle Run's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Meridian, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Kettle Run will be playing in front of their home fans against Liberty at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Meridian, they will head out on the road to face off against Langley at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday.
