The Bothell Cougars fought the good fight in their overtime contest against the North Creek Jaguars on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Jaguars by a score of 77-74. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game last Friday (59), Bothell still had to take the loss.
Bothell's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jarell Fermon, who scored 25 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Fermon has scored all season. Blake Skinner was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five assists and three steals.
Bothell has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season. As for North Creek, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-7.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Inglemoor the next time they take the court. North Creek will host Inglemoor at 7:15 p.m. on Friday, while Bothell will head out to face them at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
