Given their disadvantage in the MaxPreps state rankings, Central should expect quite the challenge on Friday. They will challenge Peach County on the road at 8:00 PM. Peach County will be strutting in after a victory while Central will be stumbling in from a loss.
After flying high against Kendrick two weeks ago, Central came back down to earth. It was close but no cigar for Central as they fell 15-17 to Pike County last Friday. Central's defeat came about despite a quality game from senior Donald Lamb, who picked up 85 yards on the ground and accumulated 111 passing yards. Lamb has now scored at least one touchdown in the past eight games.
Meanwhile, Peach County put the finishing touches on their 4th blowout victory of the season. Everything came up roses for them against Rutland as the team secured a 73-14 win. With Peach County ahead 63-0 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Central took a serious blow against Peach County the last time the two teams met, falling 0-44. Can Central avenge their loss, or is history doomed to repeat itself ? We'll soon find out.
