T.R. Miller has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Flomaton Hurricanes at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
Last Monday, T.R. Miller was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 42-41 to Excel.
The losing side was boosted by Heath Kirkland, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 10 rebounds. He scored a full 56.1% of T.R. Miller's points, the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Brodie Anthony, who scored 5 points along with 7 rebounds.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Flomaton, who are still winless after their fourth matchup. They were dealt a 91-51 defeat at the hands of Georgiana on Monday. Flomaton was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 56-33.
Shields' win bumped their season record to 0-0 while T.R. Miller's defeat dropped theirs to 2-1.
T.R. Miller didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Flomaton in their previous matchup last Tuesday, but they still walked away with a 49-43 victory. Does T.R. Miller have another victory up their sleeve, or will Flomaton turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
