Basketball Recap: Valley Piles Up the Points Against Murtaugh

Valley was handed a heart-breaking three-point loss in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Murtaugh on Tuesday. The Valley Vikings claimed a resounding 64-30 victory over the Murtaugh Red Devils. The Vikings have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 22 points or more this season.

Valley is also on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 38.2 points. As for Murtaugh, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season.

Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 72-50 win against Raft River on the 16th. As for Murtaugh, they will square off against Butte County at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Butte County will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Murtaugh surely won't give up without a fight.
