Khiryn Mcneal was the offensive standout of the game as he dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Roland Kargbo, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds and seven steals.
Patriot Prep Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dominic Sammons, who scored seven points along with seven steals and six rebounds. Sammons has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Cameron Thomas was another key contributor, scoring six points along with 11 rebounds and two blocks.
Horizon Science Academy's win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-7. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.0 points per game. As for Patriot Prep Academy, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-5.
